656F and 856F: RAPIDO’s new under-7m motorhomes

For its 2020 Collection, RAPIDO has unveiled two new models based on a x56-style layout and available as a low-profile or A-class motorhome.

The 656F and 856F are the natural successors to the 650F and 850F which were previously part of the RAPIDO range. These compact motorhomes are under 7 metres in length and feature optimised living areas. With this new x56 version, they gain a few more centimetres to measure 6.79m in length and enable them to have a trendy face-to-face living room. The living room bench seats now include armrests for greater comfort when parked in addition to when driving, as they offer the practical benefit of doubling as headrests when the benches are converted to forward-facing seats.

The kitchen, which was unveiled in 2019, also boasts some new features such as a mineral matte worktop and 2-hob stove (option of 3 hobs). The main new feature in the 656F and 856F is located between the kitchen and bedroom, with a new full height sliding storage unit which gives you even more space to store everything you need for your trip. Staying in the kitchen, the RAPIDO 656F and 856F have an innovative new fridge with generous 142-litre volume and two separate access points: one standard door in the upper part and a bottle drawer in the lower part.

At the rear, the bedroom is separated by a day/night partition. It features a 135 cm wide offset central bed. The bed sits on jacks and lifts up to reveal a substantial storage chest at the foot of the bed.

Another storage cupboard sits beside the bathroom and is divided into several sections. This means it can offer two shelves as well as a rail for hanging your clothes.

For even greater optimisation, the bathroom is divided into two parts with the first holding the basin and upper and lower storage units, and the second holding the bench toilet and shower. Of course, the bathroom items are adaptable and you can hide the basin with a cover or hide the storage units and reveal a window by using the sliding partition with mirror.
